1/2 Marathon!

A good friend of mine, Tamara, talked me and some other girls into doing a 1/2 marathon! And we all decided it would be worth it to try! WHAT WAS I THINKING!!! Just kidding, actually the overall experience was awesome! We trained for 10 weeks and I wanted to work hard to at least get a decent time! So I trained and only missed 4 days of training because of a knee injury! But I was excited to actually attempt it! So it came time for the race and Tamara who worked so hard to train was not able to run because of a family emergency! So Mandy, Sarah and I wanted to quit because she was our motivator! But we decided we worked so hard and wanted to say we DID IT!
So we ran and it was probably the hardest thing I have done in a while but it was the most rewarding thing i have done in a long time! I was glad to say I did it! Mandy and Sarah did such a good job too! I was glad they were there with me! Plus I haven't seen Sarah in FOREVER so it was great to reconnect with an old college roomie! She is such a stud!
My official time was 1:55:38. I was so happy with the results and grateful Icould have done it! Although I have NO desire to do it any time soon! I had a great weekend(KID FREE) and had a fun girls weekend!
But I could NOT MOVE for three day afterwards! Seriously, it was rough, but worth it!
The pictures aren't the best :( I couldn't figure out how to make them bigger!

STUD!!

We are going to play catch up with Jaden and the fun things that he has done this past summer! We have been so busy playing that there would be picture overload if we did each one! My computer was not cooperating so I don't have the pictures that I wanted, go figure! But jaden is such a little stud muffin! (At least I think so)!!
This summer he started off with swim lessons and had so much fun! He is a little FISH!!! He loves the water and is not afraid of anything! His teacher said he should have been in level one swim lessons, but law requires that he be 5! He is only 3 and is such a great swimmer! We got him to get up with me on the wake board, just like his cousin Austin! He LOVED it! He held on and would wave to everyone! He also loved the tube, that kid has no fear and would try to stand up and be silly! It made me so nervous, I am yelling at him from the boat to SIT DOWN! He did a little cliff jumping as well! If it has anything to do with water he is THERE!
Other than that he is such a good boy! I hardly have to "get on him" about much of anything. Every once and while he needs his attitude adjusted, but other than that, he is a great brother! He protects his sisters and takes good care of them! We couldn't have asked for a better son! He is happy all the time and his raspy little voice makes people laugh all the time!

This picture of his eye was the grossest thing we have ever seen! Brad and I played on a softball team and just got home from the game and Jadens eye was literally swollen and looked like it was going to explode! The white part of his eye protruded out over the colored part! It was gross! He looked so scary! I FREAKED OUT and went to the emergency room, I don't think you should mess with kids and their eyes! But it ended up being that he has major allergies to something up at the baseball field and he irritated it enough that it swelled up terribly! And come to find out, we didn't even need to take him to the ER because it would have been better in the morning! They did give us steroid drops though!

Jaden got to wrestle this past year and it was about the cutest thing you will ever see! He was too little to compete but he got some good practice for this next year! The smallest singlet didn't even fit him! It was a site to see!

We have had a fun summer and are glad that we could make such fun memories! We spent the summer on Zane's house boat and camped out hearts out! We are so grateful for such fun friends and family to spend it with!

Bear World!

At the beginning of the summer Sheri, Katie and I and of course all of the kids, had a chance togo to Bear World and the Zoo in Idaho Falls! It was a blast! The kids had a great time and loved seeing all of the bears. I didn't get any pictures at the zoo but these are all from Bear World!

It was kind of a fun girls weekend! We had sushi, which is our favorite, and just played with the kids! The kids had fun swimming in the hotel, loved seeing all of the animals at the zoo, and eating lots of junk food!

Sheri, Katie and I as Bears! I think I woul make the best bear, what do you think :)

Jaden and Lyxi feeding the ducks!

Me and Nana, as Lyxi would call her! Tayahna is a great trooper! She just tagged along and enjoyed the ride!

Jaden and Lyxi as bears! Aren't they scary!

This is a deer that just had her baby, it was so cute!

Thanks Sheri and Katie for a fun weekend to get the summer started!

The Best 6 Years!

Happy Anniversary Babe!!! It has been six years and have been the best years of my life!

For the years past for our anniversary we have done the dinner and movie type deal, which is really great and wonderful, but this year was fun! Brad actually planned this all by himself and had everything ready for me to just get out of town! Thanks to my sister for watching my 2 little ones! So Brad planned it so we could go down to Flaming Gorge and stay on his dads yacht for 3 days! It was so much fun and great to have time alone! It was as if we were dating again! We both needed it and had a fantastic time!
So we fished, barbecued on the lake, enjoyed the little sunshine that we had, and laughed like crazy! It is the little things that Brad does that makes him such a good husband! He will never know how much I LOVED that he planned and arranged this all by himself and that I didn't have to "nag" (as he would put it :) I just love my man so much and can't say enough good things about him! Every year we grow closer and our love gets stronger and I am so grateful to have a man that takes care of ME!! I love you babe!

Sailor Talk!

I am sorry if you hear my daughter swearing like a sailor! I asure you that she is mearly saying "frog" or "fork". It sounds terrible but we are not teaching Lyxi how to swear, I promise! It is actually pretty funny. My sisters try to get her to say, "what the frog or or oh frog!" They are so naughty!

Tayahna 4 months!

Tayahna at 4 months old weighed 12.9 oz! She got her shots the same day too, and you think that would get easier the more babies you have, but it doesn't! She cried and cried, but got it out of her system and then was back to her happy self again!

Jaden at 4 months old weighed 12. 4 oz. So she is pretty close to what he weighed! Lyxi on the other hand weighed quite a lot more! Although, Tayahna has some chubba bubba thighs! They are so cute! She has been reaching for things and is pretty close to sitting up by herself! But she has yet to roll over. Kind of funny! She is actually five months old now and is eating cereal and I just started her on baby food today! She loved it and is actually really good at opening her mouth to eat!

We took her swimming for the first time and she loved the water! We just got back from camping at Granite and she sat in her blow up toy and soaked up the sun! She loved it!

She is so precious and has the biggest smile! It makes my day every time she does it! We have been so busy this summer and she just tags along everywhere we go and is happy doing it! When I got my tonsils out, I had to pump and bottle feed for a few days and she acted like she has always taken a bottle! But now she doesn't want much to do with nursing. She still nurses but it is about half of the time. Which I have the best of both worlds, she nurses and takes a bottle, so it is convenient to do either one!
I couldn't be happier in my life right now and am so thankful for my family!

Dang The Luck!!!

My Poor Baby Girl!!!

Yes, yes, it happened AGAIN!! I can not believe that my princess broke her arm again, within a 6 month time period! I just wanted to crawl in a hole and die. I felt so bad for her!

Katie and the boys were over and we were messing around outside. We all came in for a snack and Lyxi sat on the bar stool. Everyone ate their snack and Lyxi wasn't quite done so she got left up there for a while longer! I went to go get Tayahna and I saw out of the corner of my eye that Lyxi was standing on top of the bar stool and she feel before I could even say anything. She landed in the most awkward position, on her side trying to catch herself. I ran over and picked her up and held her for a minute when Katie in a panicked voice said, umm Kristi you need to look at her arm. I knew the second I looked at it, it was broken! It looked like a "U" shape! I rambled off a few naughty words (only because I was sooooo mad at myself and so sad for Lyxi, I normally don't do that but it was a bad situation that we had just gone through not 6 months prior)!!

So we rushed her to the Pinedale Clinic, thankfully Brad was home and he went with me, and Katie took Jaden and Tayahna! They braced it and sent us to Jackson where they had to set it! She broke her arm in three places, two in the radius bone and one on her ulnar bone (I think I got those names right???) The doctor had the OR team on call because he was worried that if he set the one brake it might off set the other break, so he was worried about getting everything back in line! That made me so nervous. Lyxi did so good up until they were putting the IV in her arm and they couldn't get it and blood was dripping everywhere! She was so brave and tough through the whole situation! I just cried with her, I couldn't help myself, I felt so bad for her! They made us leave when she was just about "under" and we went to the waiting room and not two minutes later the doctor came in and said he was confident that he got it set! So they took some x-rays and sure enough he had gotten it back in place without any problems! We went in and got to wake her up and she didn't cry once after that!

It hasn't slowed her down a bit! Except Brad brought home a turtle from North Dakota and Lyxi kept sticking her hands in the tub and getting her cast wet! So we had to go in and get a waterproof one! She only has one more week left and she is home free!

NEEDLESS to say, we do NOT have bar stools in our house anymore!

Lyxi for mamma's sake, can you take it slow and not be so crazy! I don't know if it carelessness, recklessness, or just plain craziness, but I can not handle this stress! I am already finding 10 gray hairs in my bangs and I am pretty sure they are all from you!!! It is a good thing you are so sweet and cute! You keep me on my toes, so thanks sweet heart!

On a side note....... Lyxi right this moment has road rash all over her nose and forehead because she was running too fast and tripped on the asphalt! She is going to be just like her daddy!!!! ;)
