Sailor Talk!

I am sorry if you hear my daughter swearing like a sailor! I asure you that she is mearly saying "frog" or "fork". It sounds terrible but we are not teaching Lyxi how to swear, I promise! It is actually pretty funny. My sisters try to get her to say, "what the frog or or oh frog!" They are so naughty!

Tayahna 4 months!

Tayahna at 4 months old weighed 12.9 oz! She got her shots the same day too, and you think that would get easier the more babies you have, but it doesn't! She cried and cried, but got it out of her system and then was back to her happy self again!

Jaden at 4 months old weighed 12. 4 oz. So she is pretty close to what he weighed! Lyxi on the other hand weighed quite a lot more! Although, Tayahna has some chubba bubba thighs! They are so cute! She has been reaching for things and is pretty close to sitting up by herself! But she has yet to roll over. Kind of funny! She is actually five months old now and is eating cereal and I just started her on baby food today! She loved it and is actually really good at opening her mouth to eat!

We took her swimming for the first time and she loved the water! We just got back from camping at Granite and she sat in her blow up toy and soaked up the sun! She loved it!

She is so precious and has the biggest smile! It makes my day every time she does it! We have been so busy this summer and she just tags along everywhere we go and is happy doing it! When I got my tonsils out, I had to pump and bottle feed for a few days and she acted like she has always taken a bottle! But now she doesn't want much to do with nursing. She still nurses but it is about half of the time. Which I have the best of both worlds, she nurses and takes a bottle, so it is convenient to do either one!
I couldn't be happier in my life right now and am so thankful for my family!

Dang The Luck!!!

My Poor Baby Girl!!!

Yes, yes, it happened AGAIN!! I can not believe that my princess broke her arm again, within a 6 month time period! I just wanted to crawl in a hole and die. I felt so bad for her!

Katie and the boys were over and we were messing around outside. We all came in for a snack and Lyxi sat on the bar stool. Everyone ate their snack and Lyxi wasn't quite done so she got left up there for a while longer! I went to go get Tayahna and I saw out of the corner of my eye that Lyxi was standing on top of the bar stool and she feel before I could even say anything. She landed in the most awkward position, on her side trying to catch herself. I ran over and picked her up and held her for a minute when Katie in a panicked voice said, umm Kristi you need to look at her arm. I knew the second I looked at it, it was broken! It looked like a "U" shape! I rambled off a few naughty words (only because I was sooooo mad at myself and so sad for Lyxi, I normally don't do that but it was a bad situation that we had just gone through not 6 months prior)!!

So we rushed her to the Pinedale Clinic, thankfully Brad was home and he went with me, and Katie took Jaden and Tayahna! They braced it and sent us to Jackson where they had to set it! She broke her arm in three places, two in the radius bone and one on her ulnar bone (I think I got those names right???) The doctor had the OR team on call because he was worried that if he set the one brake it might off set the other break, so he was worried about getting everything back in line! That made me so nervous. Lyxi did so good up until they were putting the IV in her arm and they couldn't get it and blood was dripping everywhere! She was so brave and tough through the whole situation! I just cried with her, I couldn't help myself, I felt so bad for her! They made us leave when she was just about "under" and we went to the waiting room and not two minutes later the doctor came in and said he was confident that he got it set! So they took some x-rays and sure enough he had gotten it back in place without any problems! We went in and got to wake her up and she didn't cry once after that!

It hasn't slowed her down a bit! Except Brad brought home a turtle from North Dakota and Lyxi kept sticking her hands in the tub and getting her cast wet! So we had to go in and get a waterproof one! She only has one more week left and she is home free!

NEEDLESS to say, we do NOT have bar stools in our house anymore!

Lyxi for mamma's sake, can you take it slow and not be so crazy! I don't know if it carelessness, recklessness, or just plain craziness, but I can not handle this stress! I am already finding 10 gray hairs in my bangs and I am pretty sure they are all from you!!! It is a good thing you are so sweet and cute! You keep me on my toes, so thanks sweet heart!

On a side note....... Lyxi right this moment has road rash all over her nose and forehead because she was running too fast and tripped on the asphalt! She is going to be just like her daddy!!!! ;)
